MACH DRO and scales

A digital readout (DRO) shows the position of every axis on a clear display, so you can work to tight tolerances without counting handwheel turns. Programmable readouts add functions such as hole patterns, tapers and tool offsets.

MACH manual lathes and VS-1 turret mills come with a Newall DP 500 2-axis readout and Newall Spherosyn encoders as standard, and MACH turret mills in North America with a Newall NMS300. A Newall DP 700 is an option on the L-series lathes, and an Acu-Rite 200S 3-axis readout and a quill readout are options on the VS-1.

Newall NMS300 kits come complete, for a lathe or a mill: the display, the scales, the scale and reader-head brackets with their fixings and a display mounting arm. Need scales for another machine? We supply custom scales, cut to the length your machine needs, on a quote basis: tell us the machine, the axes and the travel on each.
